Let us picture the film studio 20th Century Fox as an abusive parent. In 2000 it helped bring the X-Men franchise into the world, brimming with potential. In 2003 it let it spread its wings and we saw the dizzying heights it could reach. Then in 2006 it suddenly turned nasty and punched the franchise in the stomach, letting it drop to the floor and then kicked seven bells of shit out of it for good measure. Finding it still lying on the floor in 2009 Fox proceeded to beat it with a big stick.
Now in 2011, judging from this trailer, it is helping the child to stand up again. However we have not forgiven the past and the wounds still hurt. Admittedly, Charles and Erik vs The Cuban Missile Crisis looks interesting…
