If Joe Benitez never writes another comic, I’ll still have enjoyed this one, your argument doesn’t factor into my appreciation of it. I fully understand your point of view though, I’m just not wired the same.

Any deadline would be acceptable. It’s not about rushing it….it’s about respecting the fans and understanding the way the narrative of a story flows. I’ve seen FAR too many of these vanity projects for artists where all they do is put out one or two issues, then vanish using some default excuse that there were “personal issues” that delayed a book for a year or whatever. I say if you have a proven track record of not being reliable (and judging by Benitez’ time on TEEN TITANS, he has that rep) then don’t release or solicit material until you have enough available to not almost instantly ruin the narrative of the story.

Really? I am surprised anyone would rather have something rushed, not done well, or not done to the artist standards just to meet an arbitrary deadline? Why would you advise folks not to pick it up?

OMG I am so excited about this comic, and if we need to wait then we need to wait. The creative process is just that- A PROCESS! Benitez’s artwork is incredible, detailed, rich and very stylish. What a power house of a creator, and the coloring is stunningly good. The comics (both #0 and #1) are printed on quality paper and they were both rich and vibrant in content and color. I want a quality comic and I will wait as long as it takes!! Thank you for the review and the teaser page with the awesome hat!

I agree with Joelnnes. Rushing something gets you a lackluster product. Unless there was a broken promise of a monthly title, I don’t see any reason to say it won’t be worth reading when more time and thought has been put into it.

That’s ridiculous, All Star Superman had delays, that’s still awesome. I’m still waiting for the 2nd issue of Nonplayer and I’m sure as hell gonna be singing its praises. Doing it right takes time, I’d rather wait than be disappointed.

Seriously? One issue of this book has come out in the last 8 months. Gorgeous artwork aside, if a book can’t come out but two or three times a year, I’d advise anyone against picking it up.
