It’s got fast cuts, slow motion and pecks… It’s only the first bloody Captain America trailer! It’s finally here after being held up for months by director Joe Johnston to fully deliver on the effects shots, and I really like it! Apart from a couple of dodgy slow motion shots (in a 30 second teaser? C’mon…) it’s looking wicked smart. The setting appears legit and Chris Evans looks like a good fit for both weedy and muscle man Steve Rogers.
The full-length trailer should be hitting cinema screens by the end of March, which will also be in 3D (I would think most of the 3D is being centred to Evans’s pecks, they’ll take your eye out!) Check out the video below, keep an eye out for Peggy Carter getting a quick grope of Rogers’s chest after he gets beefed up, and a glimpse of the red skull at 22 seconds in, looking good (or bad… I guess).
